“Get Fit, Stay Fit” is a team-oriented program that encourages physical activity. The goal of the program is to increase physical fitness and, for those overweight, an opportunity to shed pounds. The team approach is used as it has been demonstrated that team activities can produce more successful results than fitness activities done individually.
There is no specified program activity. All forms of action/movement are permissible. Please see the Activity Conversion Chart. Walking steps are the measure used to determine the level of activity. For comparability, all activities can be converted to walking steps.
Teams should consist of 4 to 10 adults (age 18 and older) with one person designated as the team captain. The captain is responsible for recording and reporting all team information. All team members must complete and have delivered to the Healthier Morgan County Initiative a Waiver of Medical Liability and Registration Form are available below on this site. All forms must be received one week prior to the start of the

To be eligible for prizes, the team captain must deliver to the Healthier Morgan County Initiative no later than one week all required information on performance of the team. Total miles or equivalent miles walked, as determined by the Activity Conversion Chart, will be used as the performance measure as well as weight lost.
Greatest weight loss percentage – $250
Greatest total miles walked – $250
Best team name (as determined by the Healthier Morgan County Initiative Executive Committee) – $10 for each team member
Most Miles Walked by a Female & Male – $50 each
Most Weight Lost by a Female & Male – $50 each
Greatest Percentage of Weight Lost by a Female and Male – $50 each
